Yay! I finally started my diet yesterday. After Thanksgiving I'm sure I put on 5lbs. I went to 5 different Thanksgiving dinners! I don't know how I managed to make it through without exploding. Oh well, the damage is done. The good news is my husband is on board with my diet, no wait, my new healthy lifestyle. :) He thinks he is a skinny guy so his goal is to workout more and buff up, which is fine with me. haha, but anyways we've set goals for ourselves. In two week increments we've set goals and rewards for ourselves. I won't bother you with my husbands goals; he can start his own blog if he wants to.
- My first two weeks my goal is to work out 4 times (hey, it's finals time in school, I'll be proud if I make it there that many times.) and to stick to a 1,700 calorie/day cut with one day allowing myself 2,000 calorie splurge day. *Wednesday 12/16 is the goal day.*
--Reward: My husband and I will go to a movie.
-The second 2 week sessions goal is similar to that of the first. Maintain calorie intake amount, (On Christmas not excedding 2,500 calories... My family ReAlLy likes to eat.) And to work out three times a week. *12/30 is the goal day.
--Reward for me is a small shopping trip.
-The last two weeks that I've set goals for is this one. It will end on Wednesday January 13th. My goal for then is to have lost 15lbs, and to have maintained my workout schedule. and eating routine.
--Reward for that is for my husband and I to take a trip to a nearby city for shopping and goofing off.
I have never managed to make it past the two week mark, and the only time I did that very well was when my prom dress didn't fit and I had two weeks to make it fit. And by George, I did it. I have never taken as good of care of my body as I should, and it kinda shows. I'm fortunate that I don't weigh much more than I do, which going off of my best guess since I haven't weighed myself in about a month. :/ I'm probably at 175lbs. (At about 5-10lbs heavier than my profile pic.)
***My end goal is to weigh about 140lbs!! I haven't weighed that much since my freshman year of highschool, and I was the same height and still not stick thin or anything. I think that'd be a perfect healthy weight, not too skinny by far, but still looking pretty good.
I've decided to not judge my success this go around by pounds lost. (Although in a month and a half I think I could easily loss 15lbs if I'm actually sticking with my diet plan.) I feel too stressed out when I didn't loss a certain amount in a set amount of time. So I'll just allow my body to loss at it's own pace and I'll just keep working towards my goal.
Now, I may bore you if you're actually reading this but I'm going to keep a food log on here and calorie intake.
